*From now on we will be posting some of our faves from whatever we shot over the weekend as a sneak peek on the blog on Mondays.

This past weekend we shot Neda & Jay’s wedding at the DeVore House in Alpharetta, Ga.  We don’t to say too much and ruin their full post,  so check out the sneak peeks below:

Neda was BREATHTAKING, and that is an understatement. :)

Neda & Jay we LOVE you!!!  Have fun in Mexico!!

For as long as I have known Courtney,  she has always had the most beautiful,  healthiest,  and LONGEST hair of anyone I’ve ever met.

Well, NOT ANYMORE. (except for the beautiful and healthy part, hehe) Today was the day that Courtney cut her hair.  She felt it was time for a change.  So… I nervously accompanied her to Salon Red to document the CUT.  The pictures speak for themselves.  Check her out!!

This is the Courtney that we all know and love.

nervous laughter…

CHOP. CHOP.  All gone in two snips!

Timothy, her stylist said that she’d made his day, he loves dramatic cuts.

I forgot what she said here.  Looks like, “OMG”  or “WOW.”

VOILA!!! A new woman.  It was so weird seeing her with short hair! I think she looks great though  & I love her natural curls.  Courtney donated her hair to Locks of Love.

So…what does everyone think?

Like the last maternity session we posted, this one is just as special to me (Courtney).  This session is about my other best friend, Jennifer, and the documenting of her 2nd pregnancy.

Jennifer is so special to me because we have been friends for 22 years.  I met her on the very first day that I moved into my new neighborhood in Alabama when I was 8 years old.  She lived about 6 houses down from me.  I was outside riding my bike with the ever-so-cool red glitter banana seat.  Jennifer was outside in her yard and as I was about to ride past her, she stopped me.  Here is how that conversation went:

Jennifer: Hey!! How old are you?

Courtney:  I’m 8.

Jennifer: Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I’m 8, too!!  What grade are you in?

Courtney:  The 3rd grade.

Jennifer: Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I’m in the 3rd grade, too!!!

From that moment on, we became best friends.  That was 22 years ago and she has been such a huge part of my life ever since (even though I moved away from Birmingham when I was 17).

So Zahra and I couldn’t have been more excited and more honored to be able to go document Jennifer’s 2nd pregnancy.  We drove to Jennifer’s house, just outside of Birmingham, and did a session with Jennifer and her belly and we also included her 3-year-old son and her husband, so this is a mixture of a family/maternity session.

We don’t usually showcase client slide shows on our blog (we show still images instead), but we loved this slide show so much that we decided to break that rule and share it with all of you.  We think it is such a raw and telling display of something that we can all relate to: the family bond.  Some of these images bring tears to my eyes (probably because I know and love Jennifer), but I think anyone can relate to the strong sense of relationship that they evoke.

its as cold as ice!!!

This picture was taken like 10 minutes ago outside of my door. ITS SNOWING IN ATL!!! WHAT! WHAT!  This would have been a great day for a photo shoot. You know? Just to have some fun or even a  bridal, engagement, or family session would have been really cool and different!! (at least for us Atlantans) Too bad the snow makes us want to hibernate and eat junk food and watch movies all day. haha.  Hopefully it’ll still be pretty tomorrow and we’ll shoot…just because.

This is a sneak peek from a family session that we did this past fall. It’s definitely one of our favorites images right now, we LOVE  E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G about it.  We’ve been holding it back for so long and we just couldn’t take it anymore!! Stay tuned for a post on the entire session.  Stay warm. :)
