Hey Y’all – Courtney here. Last month Zahra shot my maternity pictures and I want to share them with you. She did a great job documenting me during this special time in my life and I think she really captured the essence of how I feel. Her pictures express my emotions in a very real way and I’m very grateful she shot these for me and poured her creative spirit into them. I had a great time being pampered and made up by makeup artist Aileen Solis (contact her for your wedding makeup needs!). She made me look and feel really pretty for the day! It was scary but also a lot of fun to be on the opposite side of the camera. It was also cool to include my husband, Doug, in the last half of the session. We didn’t do an engagement session before our wedding (I’m lame, I know!) and we don’t have many pictures of us together (believe it or not, many photographers suck at making time to document their own lives because they spend so much time documenting other people’s lives), so I’m really happy to have these super-cute pictures of us as a couple. Doug is really excited to be a dad and has been really supportive and awesome throughout my whole pregnancy. We’ve grown very close through this whole process and I can’t wait to start this new chapter with him. I know we will love looking back on these pictures years from now, and our daughter will love seeing them when she grows up, too. Zahra, thank you for this beautiful gift. I will cherish them always.
Doug thought it would be funny to have a picture that said “Candler Park, Yo” – so we took this one especially for him.
